About Us

Who are we? Happy Hippo Building School is found online in the Virtual world called Second Life. Owned by Leslea Aldrin, and Jezebele Dagger, we focus on our students having an enjoyable time while they learn to:

• Build
• Texture
• Script
• Animate
• Learn Basic Graphics Programs
• Develop Content Creation Skills
• Explore various programs that enhance Second Life creativity

We have classes for those who are absolutely new to Second Life and for those who have progressed onto more complex concepts. We have some free self paced tutorials, as well as some boxed classes which are at no cost or low cost. The updated Learning and Resource Centre has no-cost tools, textures, animations and open source scripts. Each level has hundreds of resources on Second Life functionality.

Our mentors are available to help you navigate through your first experiences in Second Life. Our teachers are skilled and patient and will work with you until you are successful with the class being presented.

Come and check us out! Wander around, scuba dive to the mermaid area, take a windsurfing trip on the waterway! We have several games – all free and fun, as well as a bistro to sit and relax in. Check out our bookcase for informative landmarks to many free and interesting tours and exhibits!
